One more thing!

Forgot to mention this, but I also write anime reviews for my buddy Frankie at his site, Ninja Pirate Dog. My reviews are all posted in the Ame Ka section. The ones I have done are Akagi, Diebuster, Zero no Tsukaima (all of which are in need of updating), Zero no Tsukaima S2, and most recently Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Check em out, then tell me what you think. I'll post here when I write a new one.

....And we're back!

No, really. I swear. Not a Rickroll or anything. Blackout is back!

Well, It's been a couple months since you last heard from me, and as the comments sid, we've looked pretty dead. That's my fault, and I'm sorry. IRL crap took me away from my computer, giving me little translation time (which takes up about 75% of the time that I need to work). I never heard back from CTT, and as far back as a couple weeks ago, I wasn't sure what to do with the project.

Luckily, I got some help. GenForrest and TsukinoDeynatsu of Anime or Manga scans offered a helping hand, and thanks to them, we can finally offer you chapter 15 of Seto no Hanayome. We'll be continuing the joint for as long as we can, so definately look forward to more. Hopefully it won't take another 2 months (extremely unlikely, as Tsuki is a remarkably fast translator), so look forward to something soon.

Update + New Project?

It's been a while, huh? I feel bad about keeping you guys in the dark about the progress, so I'll give you all a little heads up as to what's going on.

Chapter 15 is still underway. I would've had it sooner, but we've hit the home stretch of the semester here, and finals and term papers have taken most of my time. I'm pretty much done, though, so by next week I'll be able to focus my spare time on finishing chapter 15.

As for after that, I'm in talks with Crazy Translation Team about doing Seto as a joint project. We're not totally set on the details yet, but that'll take place starting chapter 16 and going forward.

That's it as far as Seto is concerned. A couple other things, though: CTT will likely be helping with most of the translating of Seto, which leaves me free to try some other projects. So I'm still recruiting translators, proofers, etc. I'm looking at translating the original Daitenzin H-manga (the one that started Excel Saga), but we'll see after a bit how feasible that is. Either way, help of any kind will be appreciated, so please contact me if you're interested.

Well, that's about it. Thanks for all the support you guys have been leaving in the comments. Hopefully, you'll be hearing from me again real soon.

Ciao~

Release!

No posts in a month, but seriously, we're not dead. In fact, we're finally done with our first chapter of Seto no Hanayome. Blackout Entertainment is proud to present chapter 14 of Seto no Hanayome: Clash. Links here:

Hope you enjoy it, guys. But anyway, that's the good news. Now then...on to the state of Blackout.

Steam hasn't really been able to do much as far as translating goes, not to mention the fact that he's not really getting into Seto. It's possible he might start his own project soon, with me editing, but that's up in the air. This makes me the only translator available for Seto, along with the editing and proofing. I don't really have a problem with it - I've gotten a chapter done, after all - but it's gonna be really slow going unless I can get some help. I've been doing okay on the editing side, but translating has been a hassle - Seto has consistently reminded me how poor my Japanese is. Combine that with the size of the chapters (14 is 44 pages long), and it's unlikely that I'll be able to finish a chapter in less than 2-3 weeks. Like I said, if there's anyone who knows his moon runes and is interested in translating Seto, please contact me, because we really need all the help we can get.

Well, now that that's out of the way, enjoy the chapter. There will be more coming eventually, I ain't dropping this anytime soon. No idea when one will come out, but there will be more. Stay Tuned.

First!

Yay, first post on mah new blog. It feels special, like there's some anticipation that what we post won't suck. Anyway, welcome to Blackout, a new manga translating group. We're going to be translating the Seto no Hanayome manga, which has been dead for almost a year and counting. Great thanks to AnimeWaves for the work they've done up until now, but since they've stalled, we're gonna try and take the project from here. Last chapter that AnimeWaves did was Volume 3, Chapter 13, so we'll take over from there, with Chapter 14.

I am ShonenPunk, your editor/translator/proofreader/etc. Taking care of most everything. Joing me right now is SteamDogstar, who will be helping out with the translating. Of course, we'd love some help, especially with translating, since both me and Steam are still brushing up on our moonspeak. We'll hopefully have a release soon, though, so look forward to that. Don't wanna wait? Volunteer and help out. The more hands we have, the sooner we can get stuff done.

Anyway, look forward to seeing more from us. Release coming in a week or so, maybe. It's our first time at this stuff, what can I say.

Later.
